I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
